Safety at Bynesh
How we keep public polling honest and people safe.
We protect the vote because the result matters
Bynesh is for real people answering real questions. We don’t want double votes, bots, spam, fake Pages, harassment or coordinated campaigns to ruin the answer for everyone else.
Some of our protections run automatically, some depend on your reports, and some need a moderator to look at the case.
How we protect polls
- One vote each
- Each person can vote once on a poll. The same account can’t come back and vote again.
- Spotting fakes
- Account history, device signals, traffic patterns and your reports help us tell real people apart from bots, fake accounts and coordinated campaigns.
- Limiting harm
- When abuse, manipulation, impersonation or a safety concern shows up, we may show a poll to fewer people, restrict who can vote or pause it.
- A person for hard cases
- Sensitive reports, suspicious Pages and unusual results go to a moderator, not only to an automated check.
What isn’t allowed on Bynesh
- Rigging votes: bots, voting twice, or coordinated fake activity.
- Spam, scams, impersonation, misusing an organisation’s name, or posting as a Page you don’t run.
- Harassment, hate, threats, targeted abuse, or glorifying violence.
- Child sexual abuse material, grooming, or any other exploitation of minors.
- Sharing someone’s private information, doxxing, or anything that puts them at risk.
What happens when someone breaks the rules
Depending on what happened, we may warn the person, show their posts to fewer people, hide a public page, put a poll under review, remove content, suspend an account, take away an organisation’s access to its Page, or close an account.
Keeping accounts genuine
A confirmed email and phone number, device checks and follow-up by our moderators help us keep accounts real. We may remove a verified badge if we have concerns about how an account, a device, a Page or a pattern of votes is being used.
Child safety
If a child is in immediate danger, call your local emergency services first. For anything involving a minor on Bynesh, report it in the app or email support@pluria.org. These reports go to the front of the queue.
